Hopefully they're just making sure everything's ready to go and the price is right. But it should have bee launched months ago now tbh.

      This is the key point.

Sky's current advertising slogan is 'Demand better'.

I wouldn't hold your breath for anything in the near future. Just read 2 briefings today, one of which is about a limited customer trial beginning soon in 2 areas of London. This is apparently only to gauge customer demand and there are still no plans to launch anything. This is typical of Sky though, everyone is kept in the dark about what they're really doing.

The other briefing was about how to convince customers why they don't really need fibre broadband and why Sky's current offerings are great value etc. It is true to an extent, but I think that gives you some idea where things stand right now.

Thanks for that. I was very sceptical about a September Launch myself. The 2 trial exchanges will probably be in North London.

So the Sky site, which was the whole object of this thread, was a complete waste of time.
Sky are putting themselves in a very precarious position. They are going to find themselves left with the few who get a very good speed at the moment and are happy with it, those whose cabinet is not going to be upgraded and those on Connect who don't know any better. I would not be surprised if the Sky BB user figures show a reduction for the first time in 2012/13.

well the thing is sky will have to keep up to the likes of bt and virgin if they want to believe in better then there gonna have to do something. otherwise they will end up punished before long. i mean is it a possibility that sky are waiting till after bt has done all the fibre upgrades ie 2015 which is ment to be the main deadline.

My ISP tried to tell me that there would be no benefit of leaving them to go to Fibre so I said how about speed and was told well speed is not everything
