      Thanks for the information.

Do you know why it is only the 2 Amstrad models mentioned that will be able to use this service? I assume it will subsequently be rolled out to other boxes?

Out of interest, how do you know this?

      Paul.

I know my box had an update last night, and it now has the same network settings bit but it says fail, as I assume it is not plugged into my router.

Yep. Or 40 if you want an installer to plug in your ethernet cable for you.

The wired option should be included in your install price if you're a new HD subscriber.
They will also be offering it on multiroom installs if you have multiple HD boxes.

Re: Sky VOD Final Trials Soon

are sky only bringing anytime+ to the amstrad boxes because of the anytime fiasco that affected lots of boxes a few weeks ago? maybe there is an update prob for thompson boxes and the others? any word on if only the few that have amstrad boxes will get anytime+? do the rest of us have to wait or will we never have it? cant see how sky can advertise a service for HD boxes that only a few can then use, if this is whats happening when do they announce a recall of all boxes so we can all use a service we are paying for?????????

That is a lot considering they said minimal cost (see below)
While the system will work with the current Sky HD box, thanks to an in-built Ethernet cable, users will have to buy a wireless box from Sky if they are hoping to go wire-free.

Sky says that the box, will come with a "minimal" cost
and cutely looks like a miniature version of the Sky HD set-top offering.
