That's another thing no one can be sure of until the day. Does your box show a valid IP and OK against Local Connection and Service Connection?

Your get the Anytime+ software update over the air as far as I know the Amstrad boxes will get the updates first.I have received my software update already.

Do this at your own risk when I did mine all my saves for tv and video were mess up.
You could try a force update turn off your skybox at the mains then press the backup button and turn on the sky box keep pressing backup button until you see that a message comes on screen then you can let go.

I think everyone should remain calm and not react to the various rumours that are being touted around. There is nothing official been released so far. I am afraid I am not inclined to believe anything that is given out by the customer facing staff in reply to phone queries. As has been shown in the past, they are sometimes the last to know what Sky is doing.
How many members with the Sagem have been told Sky do not support VPN, when we know very well that they do and firmware is available to enable it. This is just one instance, but there are many more.
Don't believe anything until the official announcement is made. I am pretty sure if this was only going to be available over SVBN, many of those who have registered interest and are still on BT would have been advised they can't get it. Sky would not miss an opportunity to push there own rental.

So I have A new Amstrad 995 T1 HD box, Skybroadband unlimited and Skytalk Unlimited and still will not be able to get Skyanytime+ because Sky are leasing off BT in my exchange too provide me with phone and broadband.
As i showed earlier in this thread, i asked a member of another forum about that question and he works for Sky and he said as long i've got Sky Broadband Unlimited and i've also got SkyTalk Unlimited i would be able to receave Sky Anytime Plus. So i hope he is right!

Ok thanks guys for the feed back yes indeed as three different CS Reps but one did work within Skyanytimeplus department. What make me worried is they say all you need is skybroadband unlimited so what the Sky network all about.

Sky Anytime+ - TV on demand from Sky – Register for the latest news updates now
How do I get Sky Anytime+?
Sky Anytime+ is available at no extra cost to your existing Sky TV subscription. To access Sky Anytime+, you'll need a Sky+HD box and a Sky Broadband subscription in a Sky network area. Then, simply connect your box and router together by choosing the connectivity option that best suits you (set-up fees may apply). For the latest news, register here.

I ask on Twitter @SkyAnytimePlus as well hopefully get answer from him.

Re: Sky VOD Final Trials Soon

All the information i have given out was relayed from a SKY TECH MANAGER !

You will need to use a SKY MODEM ! as he said they understand some customers will use 3rd party modems or home networks ! and they know they will be getting a large amount of phone calls !

All you can do is dig out you sky modem and use that !

of course he did confirm you will need skybb, sky HD and sky phone and in a sky network area !

This is not any rumours i found over the internet everything posted was from the SKY TECH MANAGER who knows what is going on !

In reply to a post further up the thread you 3rd party modem as far as i know at this time will not get the SKY FIRMWARE update ! you modem/rout will have its own firmeware

if you log into you rout with you Web browse by typing in 192.168.1.1 you will see what F/W is on there !

for any people that have change there modem or rout F/W to the like of DD-WRT F/W you will have issues !

This is what i see happening ! after the 6months i can see sky saying anyone who wants VOD A+ who does not have SKYBB or SKY phone or Sky network area will have to pay 9.99 a month !

Like when sky + 1st came out if you did not have the full SKY WORLD you would be charged for using sky + at 9.99 a month of course after a while they dropped this charge !

If anyone would like to check the information just phone sky TECH or SKY IPLAYER ask to speak to the TECH MANAGER because you want more in depth information ! thats all i did and i got the all the information !

and thats were i was told about the APPs/Widgets feature on the HD box !

i dont think you will see HD on anytime+ for a long time ! due to ADSL poor connection and QOS as HD Streaming needs a MINIMUM of 10Mbps steady connection for a good HD picture !

For E.G If you go onto BBC IPLAYER while logged into you modem !

I clicked on a HD programe while logged in to my D-link via 192.168.1.1 and my bandwidth during the stream was between 11-15Mbps < of course the Fast you Download rate the fast the film or show will fully buffer !

but at 10mb connection or bellow will not buffer fast enough ! the film will catch up and you will get buffering ever 5 min ! < for HD

So untill 90% of the people are switch onto the fiberoptic cable you wont see HD

It's to differentiate between Sky Broadband (Lite/Unlimited) and Sky Connect. Sky BB is controlled by Sky, Connect is a rebadged BT Wholesale product in areas that have not got Sky equipment in the exchanges. Anytime+ won't be delivered to Connect users.

Nope. You're on Unlimited, so should be ok for anytime+ if your box has the update.
