right ive read it and from what i can see,you can keep your line rental with sky and move to another isp(o2).it still makes no sense cos depending on what you read and where you read it theres conflicting views.
some say you can have sky line rental and another isp and some say its not possible.
reading what sky wrote it seems you can but i cant get through to verify it.
so now begins the process of trying to get through to sky.......lol

I dont think anybody on mid will see any increase in speed there are too many other factures involved. I suspect the capping is just a way of trying get people to switch to max .Come august !st all mid customers will be getting a very bad deal . I think we should all send sky a recorded letter telling them what we think of there bright idea.

Yes provided you do not allow your phone to be switched to the Sky Network. All ADSL ISPs require a "BT Compatible" line. If you go on the Sky Network, just like TalkTalk, Tiscali etc, your line is no longer "BT Compatible". At the moment Sky rent your line at wholesale rate from BT and rent it back to you at retail.

      so alls good....for now.
ive been over on to o2 user and its a good site, seems like o2 is a good isp aswell.all im bothered about is my gaming and as it is now its 100% and all i can see in the future is endless calls to support and.....LAG....it makes sense to move i think.a little bit more looking into it cos without a doubt ill end up having to move onto max so i may aswell look at the o2 equivelent.

I think it was a play on words as SkyNet is from the film Terminator

Question Re: Changes to Sky Broadband from June 22nd 2009

Has anyone "opted out" yet regarding the move to the new network?

If so which is the best department to speak to?
      A simple crude speed test:-

      Download Test.
