They should set something up so that you can see you're monthly useage so people will be able to see whats going on & make an informed decision on whether 10gb is enough, rather than some of us "hoping".

As its being reduced they should tell what we've done per month for the last 3 months or something.

Will this affect current Max users in anyway besides the possibility of a line upgrade?

8 pages so far.....and seven daaaaays of hypothetical discussion to go.

If there is one thing that I hope is a certainty, Sky have made a decision that will benefit the sky customers, like always.. :P

They can't make changes to the contract without prior warning. My understanding (based on posts seen on other forums) is that this will initially be for new customers only. I think Sky are ever mindful of the fact that Be* is an option at a lot of exchanges where Sky have a presence, as it is here, and I won't hesitate to move to Be* if I think that Sky is not the best value any more.

Re: Sky Broadband Changes - 22nd June

Damn right, I am just itching to go to BE these days, although I notice that BE is owned by O2, which is owned by a spanish telecoms co. I do worry if they would consider selling the BE service leading possibly to massive degrades. Still, if they sold, then the contract would also be nullified anyway, I expect.

WHY, oh WHY, do I have to spend even 20 mins of my time dealing with something that should work out of the box? Which ADSL provider.... Should I pre-empt this, pre-empt that, what if this happens, will I be locked to contract?
All I want to do is browse the web and download, watch streaming at a pace that does not cut out.

It seems that we are paying the price for all of those big boy company owners to play "ooooh, I can make money out of this, who cares about anyone, only I matter." power/ego/manhood games.

Opinions of my embitteredness are welcome.....

Re: Sky Broadband Changes - 22nd June

O2 can't really sell Be as O2 uses the Be network, although Be and O2 do use different servers as when there was a problem with be hardware at Be, O2 users were unaffected.

I feel that Sky saw rapid growth in the ISP market then have seemed to have floundered with the direction they need to go in especially as they put their prices up expecting all the competitors to follow suite and none have.
