On the issue of how to contact them, I've found email much better than telephone - it can take a couple of days but you probably spend less time on it then spending forever on hold and going through menu options (and thus a nice saving on your phone bill!)
Of course, if you are will sky talk then phone calls to sky tech are free.
Connected at 17Mbps on sky unlimited

This is the email I got from sky>>>>

Thank you for contacting Sky Help Centre.

I have suspended DLM actions on your line and configured it manually, I confirm that you are currently connected at 1983kbps download and 1044kbps upload, as your line length is 327mtrs this is the most stable and best speeds available for your broadband connection.

I would ask that you monitor this connection and do not hesitate to reply to this mail if you feel further adjustments can be made to your line.

I hope this helps with your enquiry.

      <<<<<<

Maybe they misunderstood and thought I was 327 miles away from the exchange!

How can anyone so ignorant of broadband be employed with support.

It genuinely looks like they missed off a zero - have you replied to them asking this?

Agree re. free calls with Sky Talk, although I'd still need to sit in a quiet room after going through the menu options!

Re: Sky Broadband Changes - 22nd June

So according to this then, as I live only a 200 mtrs walk from the exchange, I should move into it to have any chance of getting a 3 mb connection.

Yes, I did point out that I should be getting as near as possible the full 20mb. I also pointed out how far I lived from the exchange and I pointed out that when DLM was finished, I was synching at 17. something mb.

Or is the noise margin too high?
