However about 20 minutes later I got a phone call in response to a email I sent that was not through the sky help centre, and after talking to a very helpfull person who got in contact with the BB dept they offered to upgrade my mid to unlimited and credit my account for the difference.

I took them up on this offer largly due to the manner in which they had handled the situation after sky's initial mess up.

It just goes to show there are some nice people that do want to help customers

      Thanks again

      A happy customer once again.
      Hi,

I recently signed up to the full sky package and MID broadband (broadband was activated on the 29th).

I calculated my costs based on this and that 40g download a month would be adequate.......

I now see that this is reduced to 10g.

Who do I need to contact and complain and see what they can do? I think it is highly unfair to allow me to sign up to a mid package and then change it. They could have told me when I signed up earlier last month......

i wasnt informed of any changes and I have an email saying that I am subscribing to MID on the 15th June. I know that they can change contract at any time, but this is a bit bad!

How are Sky going to give 1.3mb upload? The max i've seen so far is ~1000 kilobits and that's people in the teen attenuations... some with no more NM to give..

Have seen on Wiki there is an Annex M... is this anything to do with it?

An on paper commitment that won't happen for most I suspect, just like I won't be getting 10mg downloads etc.

I had double checked this, it will not be a new 12 months having said that I'm only 3 months in anyhow.

I found the email address on the internet with regard to customer relations I would prefer not to give out someone else email address on public forums as I know I would not like it myself.

The best of luck to you all with regard to this matter.

      ---------------------------------------------------

My upload is quoted after testing at 1.3mb, fact is I'm only getting 0,81mb as a max on speedtest.net.

      Router Stats:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 12287 kbps 1023 kbps
Line Attenuation 17.5 db 9.2 db
Noise Margin 18.3 db 8.0 db

Half a km from the exchange.
