I presume this is a change of terms and conditions and hence would give users on the said package a get out of jail card that allows them to move within there contract time.

Does not make sense to me to be honest but Sky do a lot of things that upset customers.

      Bye.

We’re reducing the monthly usage allowance on Sky Broadband Mid from 40GB to 10GB - in line with what the majority of our customers actually use. For existing Sky Broadband Mid customers the 10GB usage allowance will be from 1 August 2009.

Re: Sky Broadband Changes - 22nd June

I notice there is no mention of Base in that article, I wonder if this means it is being dropped? If so, Sky really need to get the gun out of its holster before they pull the trigger or they really will be limping all the way to the bottom of the broadband heap.

Re: Sky Broadband Changes - 22nd June

so can someone clarify all this for me,all i really use my bb for is surfing,no downloading really.BUT i do use it for xbox live AND psn a few hours everyday and i do download from those two.
as you can see from my sig' my upload is good and my down is capped at 4mb to keep my line stable so my ping stays low.all these new conditions means i lose out all round, which is sad cos im more than happy since cst sorted my connection.
so the question is...any legal brains, pls tell me, can i leave and go to O2 without getting a disconnection charge??????
i was more than happy with SKY,new it was too good to last.

I wonder if those customers who stay on Mid will also be subject to more rigorous policing of the usage limit when it falls from 40GB per month to 10GB per month?

Re: Sky Broadband Changes - 22nd June

sky talk customers are getting a discount at the moment on mid but that will only last till jan 2010 so for sky to say they are dropping usage allowance to match other isp's is rubbish.sky mid, sorry "everyday",wont be worth it.
its really gutted me reading all this,
i know this analogy is a bit strong but its like the men upstairs have looked down and seen theres a few too many people happy with things and decided to throw a quick kidney punch to shake us all up a bit...lol
i still need to know....can i leave without getting charged??????

^^ you on Mid? if so, how's your upstream as high as it is as Mid is up to 400kbps...did you get an agent to 'bend the rules' for you? hope they weren't being monitored if they did...
