have also been having words about getting configuration locked out until the first run of DLM has finished, as a lot of agents are ignoring DLM just cause someone has a bit of a rant and manually reconfiguring a line on the first day of connection - said agents get reported as DLM has to run the first time...once complete it can then be manually configured...
Great! My line used to be stable synced at 16mbps before DLM, and now it syncs at 14mbps, still stable. I think I may have switched off the router a few times during DLM or something. So I might be able to get over 16mbps if I could originally before I got capped? My line attenuation (down) is 29db.

Oh well, even if I can't the upload speed increase will be nice

It would make sense if 22/06 was the start of the marketing campaign and letters to existing customers with a roll out in August.

Re: Sky Broadband Changes - 22nd June

Hi sky tv price in crease from 1st September 2009 going up 1

      1 mix 16.50 going up to 17.50
      2 mix 17.50 to 18.50
      3 mix 18.50 to 19.50
      4 mix 19.50 to 20.50
      5 mix 20.50 to 21.50
      6 mix 21.50 to 22.50

      1st January 2010

      VAT changing from 15% to17.5%

That's 50 pence increase on your bill eg

      1 mix 17.50 going to 18.00
      2 mix 18.50 going to 19.00

This was confirmed by sky customer services this morning

With these hard times resesion redundences
Sky don't care about their customers they put up prices instead lowering them

Re: Sky Broadband Changes - 22nd June

The VAT one is not a surprise, that was only ever set out as a decrease until 31 December 2009.

Actually, neither is the price increase, sky have been doing yearly increases for ages.

....and has it done any good? I don't think so, all it did was make extra work for small businesses.

A quick calculation shows the VAT reduction I'll have this year will be about the same as my Sky subscription, So I think it's been very worthwhile.

That isn't really a surprise as this is when their prices always go up, so with this and with broadband Mid already gone up (because I don't have Sky Talk) and the reduction in the limit I will be paying more for less.
