      @LoieENG
The normal sync speed for an attenuation of 29 would be between 14 and 16 Mb. What you actually get depends on the condition of your line. Yours may be in a slightly poorer condition, which could be down to many things. The number of joints and how well they are made, the age and quality of the line, the actual line materials, what the local environment is like. There are numerous reasons why one line performs better than another of similar length.

Re: Sky Broadband Max - New Faster Speeds?

Sorry to be a pain, but we've decided to get this ADSL filter faceplate. Could you please elaborate on how to fit it/how it works?

Oh and if possible, links to where to purchase the equipment needed.

      Many thanks,

      Liam McGoldrick

      --------Edit---------

Sorry, I just wanted to make sure my socket was compatible.

Thank you, you have been the most help ever!

So the master socket is capable of having the faceplate switch?

You fit the filtered faceplate then you don't need micro filters anymore.

      Yeah, I know that.

I just want to make sure my master socket is the right type.

      Yes it's the right type.

You should remove the wires from all the terminals except 5 & 2 from the one you have now, that should improve things until the new one arrives.

I've just currently left the faceplate hanging off with it plugged into the test socket. No harm in that, eh?

I ordered the faceplate and was going to order the IDC insertion tool, but 5 for the P&P, is just sickening.
Would any local stores sell this, like Homebase or a small retailer?

      -------Edit-------

'Tis okay, I found one on ADSL Nation.
