Re: Sky Broadband Max - New Faster Speeds?

you have a set frequency, so if you increase the upstream frequency then you'll have a smaller range on the downstream...it's the same as with O2 or anyone offering faster upstreams...you give up some of the downstream as a result...

      or something like that...

Re: Sky Broadband Max - New Faster Speeds?

Ahh I just got the upstream noise margin of 2147483647. I searched and it looks related to DLM but i'm not sure? Certainly a lot of threads relating to it.

If so then maybe it's linked to DLM for the upgrade? Hmm and as i'm typing this my stats just went back to normal lol:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 14330 kbps 766 kbps
Line Attenuation 28 db 14 db
Noise Margin 11 db 16 db

      That was weird.

that SNR is it going into minus fingures and the router can't display it so goes a bit mad!!

      you're capped at 14Mbps though...

Yeah, have been for a while, I emailed them as it was capped at 8 before and she set it to 14. I'm okay with that though, it drops out around once every 2/3 days usually between 1-2am which is strange but i'll live.

I hadn't seen that upstream noise before and after searching read a few threads relating to DLM so I got my hopes up it was activating to introduce new (upload) speeds lol

Ah well, I shall have to wait.
