Well so far it does seem pretty minimal lol

I wonder when they are planning more upgrades for existing customers.

Was on 16Mbit before. Now syncing at about 19800 down, and about 870 up.
What exchange are you on Razz? I would think it is being done on an exchange basis, so this info might be useful for others on the same exchange.

Re: Sky Broadband Max - New Faster Speeds?

Were you originally synching at the full 16 mbit?

How far are you from the exchange?

I have been told by a BT engineer friend of mine to expect the full 24 mb when Sky increases speed at my exchange.

      I hope he is right.

Re: Sky Broadband Max - New Faster Speeds?

This discussion must be particularly galling for the 10% at the other end of the scale who struggle to get 1-2Mbs and have little hope of an improvement in the near future.

Fitting a filtered faceplate would definately help your connection. Whether it would help your drop outs is another question, if you run from the Test socket for a while and you don't get drops, then it definitely will. For anyone with extension sockets a filtered faceplate is about the best investment you can make.

If we fit the filtered faceplate, we'll just use the master socket for the phone and router. Leaving the face plate off won't effect how the phone etc. works, no?

Re: Sky Broadband Max - New Faster Speeds?

Removing the faceplate disconnects your extensions, that is all. Your phone and the router will work perfectly well from the Test socket.
