That looks better, it may have been caused by a noise spike that isn't there now, but that was quite a big swing on the SNR on the upstream.
If you wanted to replace the master socket for an NTE5a, it is simple to do and lots of other people on the forum including myself have done this, you can get them from ADSL Nation, link below.

Cheers Andy. Now, the only thing is rewiring the new socket.......At the minute, there's are wire connected to each terminal, and lot's of redundant BT wires. Is there a wiring diagram I can print off so that I don't mess it up?

You only need terminals 2 & 5 connected, just pull the others up and out to disconnect them. Do this at both sockets (master and extension).

Re: Sky Broadband Max - New Faster Speeds?

If you are replacing an old type master with an NTE5a, then your incoming wires are connected to terminals A and B at the back of the line box. The normal colours are blue/white, white/blue, but check that this is true in your case. It does not matter what colour goes to which terminal. The extension wires are connected to the back of the faceplate, once again they should be blue/white, white/blue, these should go to terminals 2 and 5. With this type of faceplate, which has a ring 'filter', it is quite in order to connect the orange ring wire, which goes to terminal three.
If you ordered a filtered faceplate from ADSLNation, you will received printed instructions. It is also available on line at http://www.adslnation.com/downloads/...2005_Guide.pdf.
