      hi im new to this forum just wondering is my connection good ( line attenuation, noise margin) or should i be getting better speeds thanks

      Connection Speed 14259 kbps 765 kbps
      Line Attenuation 30 db 14 db
      Noise Margin 7 db 12 db

      That looks to be about right. I don't think you will get higher with that attenuation.

      Is this the first time you have had broadband? The average speed for Sky Max is about 6500kbps, so you have more than double the average. This may give you an idea of how good your connection is.

      If you plug into your Test socket and take your stats from there that will show if your line is capable of any more. With a very good external line you could get 15-16000kbps.

      You will have read in your letter about DLM which will start on your line in a couple of days, so keep your router plugged in and powered up at all times. Don't switch it off at night or this will been seen as a fault and drop your speed.
