Agree completely. The key advantages that O2 have over Sky as far as I'm concerned are that all support calls are FREE and are handled by UK based staff who understand the English language. Those two things alone are worth their weight in gold if ever you are in the unfortunate position where you have to use them!

Looking round on other forums O2's customer support would appear to be held in high regard whilst Sky's has unfortunately always been a total joke from day one and has never improved.

Take note Sky if you read this...long queues on expensive numbers...staff who cannot speak or understand English...staff hanging up on you...staff never returning promised calls...staff who do not do what they promise to do...are not helping your cause and only serve to make the final decision to leave easier to make!

Hell hath no fury like a customer scorned!

And I am another one of them so this latest piece of news doesn't mean much to me.

But how long for...... can o2 continue to offer that level of service for the price they charge?

If o2 came out now and guaranteed their prices and service levels for 18mths then fair comment, but there are very few guarantees in life I'm afraid.

so does that mean that as we have multiroom, sky max and sky talk, after 2010, the broadband will rise to 15?

re: Price Freezes for some Loyal Customers

Sky should either add a price rise or not. Having rules controlling whether or not it will be applied is confusing at best and possibly unfair at worst.

Myself, I'm on the Mid package as my line is fairly crappy and I don't need (couldn't use even) the maximum download capability of Max. If Sky needs to pay for uncapping Max users then charge those users! Just like petrol for a car, drive more = use more = costs more.

Sky Talk looks like a load of $%^& so I will not paying for that.

HD is $%^& - for now at least. There's too few [general entertainment] channels available and I don't currently have a HD capable TV anyways!

I'm a couple of months outside of the 6 months cut off so I'm one of the targeted customers! I've had Sky TV for approx 18 years and have received no incentive to remain a customer and choice Sky BB as a way of decreasing my monthly outgoings. I guess my 1st year with Sky could be my last. Be/O2 have also LLU'd my exchange so I have a choice of sorts.

why not upgrade to max now and pay 10pm for max frozen till 2010 instead of 10pm for mid from 2009.

Okay, you wont get anymore DL speed, but you'll get faster upload and unlimited downloads..... so get your money's worth.

No, you are paying for sky talk now so after 2010 you will still pay 10 for max.

I get free calls to Sky's technical support - haven't had to use it at all, so I've no idea how good they are, but they are free.

OK - that's because I also take Sky Talk, which I guess is the whole point of what Sky are trying to do here. But I don't really use the landline much therefore I don't really care who I have it with - anyone so long as it isn't the evil monolith BT

I've tried upgrading to Max online but the system won't let me.
