If that's the case, they should offer me another 5 discount, making it 10, since I have both ST & Max packages.
Having ST automatically gives you the 5 discount.

      From the OP

Customers who take either Sky Broadband Max, Sky+HD or Sky Multiroom (or a combination of the 3) will automatically see their current broadband pricing frozen until January 2010
It doesn't mean that you would get 2 x 5 discounts, there are (or implied) two different ways of getting a 5 discount off your broadband in total.

      1) Having ST

      or

      2) The above quote

In my case, I meet condition 2)

Ah! I get it now!! Bascially, there are two ways to have your 5 discount in order to keep your current Sky Broadband Package to the same price as before!! That's ok, then.

Re: Price Freezes for some Loyal Customers

I have had sky in for years, the top tv package + the 16mb broadband, I got a phonecall to say the price is going up by 5 per month....I then phoned sky and said I will not be blackmailed into taking the phone package and to take the whole lot out, Broadband and tv package, etc. After a few hiims and no can do's I eventully got 6 months at my current package with 20% off............
Instead of paying the extra 5 I'm paying less per month for the nxt 6 months and after that it will be another fonecall.

Re: Price Freezes for some Loyal Customers

Considering they wrote to tell me

"Only new customers who registered (for Sky Max) prior to 25 November 2008 will commence with the new price increase effective from 1 January 2010"

and reading the comments in this thread

It will be interesting to see what their reply is to this email I sent - assuming I get a reply

"Thank you for your reply to my query. Can you please confirm that all current customers (who don't have Sky Talk) registered for BB Max prior to 24th November 2008 have had their bb increased from 10 to 15?"

Re: Price Freezes for some Loyal Customers

There is a recession going on and Sky always put their prices up above the rate of inflation, the only reason i am with them is because its cheaper, but if they raise their prices next year i will cancel, what you save you spend on phone calls to their customer service.
