      this is intresting

this is from the thinkbroadband.co.uk article

"Sky recently made a lot of PR noise over the removal of the fair use policy on its Max product, but as always there are cost implications to keeping a network running with enough capacity to avoid undue congestion. Add to this the pressure of increasing costs from a number of areas and it may not just be Sky raising prices, but simply that Sky are the first to twitch."

      maybe they are right.....

Glad I left before the rush starts
These Telco companies do not value loyalty.I was with VM for 11 years and after all that time they would not even price match Sky for a similar service I wanted.I joined Sky in Sept. '08 but after this 100% increase in BB price, which is totally outrageous, I will not be with Sky in Oct. '09. They can use smoke and mirrors all they like but i will not stay with any company that imposes such an obscene increase especially in a time of falling inflation and I will not be bullied further into their grip with a promise of a reduced price if I take their second rate "Freetime". There ,thats my tuppence worth of my chest. Feel a lot better now.

Also with big job losses up and down the country, sky tv may get hit as well with people getting rid,or cut down their package.

I will be looking for new bb as well when the 12months is up in feb.

That stinks and shows yet again that there is no loyality when it comes to Sky. Once they have got hold of you all they want is a much from you as possible. Some of us have been with Sky back from the old analogue days but that doesn't mean anything in Sky's eyes.

After Christmas I am going to start looking around for another provider as there is no way I am going to be bulled into paying for something I don't want in Sky Talk especially as I don't see why those of us that don't want it are being forced to pay extra as if we had it.

Re: Update on Sky Broadband pricing changes

I voted no only because I have little choice. Sky are the only decent LLU Isp on my exchange. No O2/BE out here in the sticks (but I do have a lovely big garden, and there is a nice trade in free range turkeys for sorting BB problems, so it's not all bad)

I knew that wasn't there a few minutes ago

I voted yes, I get enough crap through the post from other ISPs so perhaps it is time to start reading it instead of shredding it.
