Yes, but only if you subscribe, having made your own mind up to do so.

Re: Update on Sky Broadband pricing changes

for me personally it makes no difference. I never use my landline and purely use it for the BB connection. So I'm on Sky Freetime.

However, the mobile deals now do look much more competitive.

They probably are but if your not with Sky Talk the charges really do add up quickly.

If they said all calls for technical help were on a freephone number the 5 increase may not be so bad but they really don't seem to understand/care about the rest of the competition and their customer base.

So, loyal customers who have been with SkyBB for more than 6 months get a price increase on 1st March. Those that have only joined in the last 6 months don't?

Glad I left before the rush starts

I'd say so. There are 3 forums majoring on O2 and/or BE: the O2 one which isn't moderated, the ADSLforum which is good but very quiet and thinkbroadband which has the most awful forum layout/software.

Re: Update on Sky Broadband pricing changes

I have been a happy Sky Broadband User since Nov 2006 until now. The proposed Broadband pricing changes have NOT pleased me! I have never been interested in SkyTalk. Well, I may well start looking for a new broadband provider. Sky will come to regret these Broadband price changes as they lose many broadband customers...

Re: Update on Sky Broadband pricing changes

Here, here. Doing the simple maths; pay either 5 or 2.50 more for BB (Sky vs. 02) or 0 for a Sky Talk, a service I do not want - no brainer - goodbye Sky, hello 02. Methinks, Sky's Marketing Department seem to be divorced from reality - gradute intake policy not working?

Re: Update on Sky Broadband pricing changes

I think it might be a good idea to post the MAC Code Request Number on the forum, and here is the freephone O2 number:

      0800 230 0202
