Re: Update on Sky Broadband pricing changes

I for one will not be paying the increased price, or switching to Sky Talk, I don't like being dictated to, not only will they be losing my BB subsription but i am also looking at alternative TV packages ie: Virgin, BT.
This will probably cost me money as i use the phone very little, the last quarterly bill was about 5 plus line rental. BUT, i'm a stuborn old sod and have the gas from the gas, the electric from the electric and the phone from BT. if i won't change from choice i sure as hell won't be blackmailed.

Re: Update on Sky Broadband pricing changes

Does anybody know where to complain regarding the price increase? I think, if sky is increasing the sky base subscription to 5, at least, the usage should at least be increased to a decent 5gb.

Interestingly, unlike Sky, rather than put their proces up across the board, O2 have just enhanced their Premium product from 16meg to 20meg, for the same price. Well actually, with the VAT decrease it's now down to 9.79/month for O2 mobile customers or 14.68 for non customers.

If you're really feeling flush then their Pro product now has fixed IP included (was an extra 5/month) plus a guaranteed next day fix for any problems:
And on those rare occasions we can't get you going again over the phone, with our inclusive Prioritised Customer Service we will send an engineer to your site the next day* at a time that suits to help get you back online. Our engineers will check your PC set-up and broadband equipment and will replace any faulty O2 Home Broadband equipment that day.
As a result, Pro costs a couple of pounds more than it used to and is now 17.13/22.02.

Angry Re: Update on Sky Broadband pricing changes

As a BT light user I cant have Sky talk even if I wanted to, (which I dont)
:Thats it Sky, show your loyalty, As a pensioner living alone I have no need for another boix so I will have to tell Sky where to put it. Sideways!:

Re: Update on Sky Broadband pricing changes

I would not pay the new charge, I will not be blackmailed into taking extra Sky services so I have moved to O2, twice as fast as Sky I can use my own router the O2 tech department even helped with the settings even though they do not support my router and I cut my Sky tv to the most basic package Sky really need to think about how they word their mail drops.

Re: Update on Sky Broadband pricing changes

Sorry if it's been posted elsewhere, but anyone seen this lastest bombshell from BT Tariff guide – find out the cost of calls from your BT phone line
Was thinking about switching to Sky talk but not anymore! As most of the calls I pay for are 0845 and 0970 numbers.

Re: Update on Sky Broadband pricing changes

Whats the likelihood of the extra money from LLU customers going towards buying new BT centrals for connect customers?
