At least current sky broadband customers are exempt from the price hike until 2010.

Now how many more exchanges can O2 unbundle in 13 months?

      A lot I reckon.

      ^^^^^^
I don't think so! Only if you have joined in the last 6 months, other wise it is March 2009.

Re: Sky Broadband Price Changes - March 2009

I can understand that Sky have to raise their prices, but what about those of us who have been with them longer than six months? ie pretty much since the beginning.

As I understand it, I will be now subject to this 5 increase, unless of course I sign up to Sky Talk, although it may be free, I am not interested.

Looks like a few ISP's may gain some extra customers from this now.

Makes you wonder how much extra bandwidth was used when the did the "truly unlimited" download limit for max.

Looks like somebody got a big bandwidth bill that they wern't expecting.

Re: Sky Broadband Price Changes - March 2009

I think it probably has something to do with the 10% clause in the T & Cs. Can't quite see what it is, but it does mean very few will be able to use the clause to leave within their minimum contract.

Re: Sky Broadband Price Changes - March 2009

Yup, was with Sky due to the ease and the price, and as the price has jumped by 50%, and they want to mess about with connections o2/BE are looking much better.

Sorry sky, and unless you give me an offer, I'm off...

Re: Sky Broadband Price Changes - March 2009

Yes it's March 2009 for me as well. My min term is up on 31st Jan 2009, but Sky/Easynet are by far the best LLU options avalible at my exchange, so unless O2/BE put in an apperance, I'll stick with Sky and pay the 5 increase. One thing is for sure, I will not be taking any of the Sky Talk options.
