I thought you didn't want the £10 per month HD subs.

I presently have an older model Sky+ box and have had it some years, hence it does not have sky anytime on it and has a smaller hard drive than other people that I know who got sky+ later, so although paying the same as them, I am not getting the same service from the box being an older model
Before I go for this offer, should I be aware of anything regarding the HD boxes?ie.EPGuide, box memory size etc. As I believe there are now three manufacturers of HD boxes.
As sky terms state they decide which equipment is provided

Re: Sky+ HD Box is now Half Price

They all have their good and bad points.

Thompson box - PSU issues, although I have had mine for a year with zero issues

Pace box - lipsync issues, Sky are aware and working on a fix - Had mine for two weeks and upgraded the HDD to 1TB - I have the lipsync issue, but am prepared to beta test new technology.

Samsung box - not a lot in the field - therefore not much to report

For £75 its a steal

Re: Sky+ HD Box is now Half Price

Newsreader Is the new EPG mentioned released? do both of your boxes handle it OK, if so.
I agree the price is now a steal.

Re: Sky+ HD Box is now Half Price

Unofficially, the new EPG will be delayed. How true or not this is, I have no idea.

Like anything, its new, and pointless releasing until its mostly right.
