DLM for all on its way

We believe, as we reported some time ago, that DLM for all, is about to become a reality.

Information received via PM from a trusted source, suggests that DLM is in place and all set to be turned on.

No date has been disclosed, but as per our original information, this should be implemented as from October, 2008.

If you have absolutely no idea of what DLM is and how it may benefit your connection, have a read of our ultimate Sky and DLM guide.

More news as we have it.

Re: DLM for all on its way

Oh joy.

I don't want an increase in speed as I have a rock solid connection so I can't say I am looking forward to this happening.

Re: DLM for all on its way

Lets hope they have learnt a lesson from last time and :-
1 Inform their customers of their intentions.
and
2 Explain the process so people know what to expect.
and
3. Inform their customers by letter about DLM and give them an opt out option.
and
4. Automated MAC giving out system to cope with demand

Somehow, based on their previous track record, I get the feeling that this wont happen.
If they destroy what for me has been a rock solid connection for the past 2 years, I will be reviewing my options. Now the kids have grown up I dont think I'd really miss sky tv so with what I'd save by not paying for that I could go elsewhere for bb and still save money.
Shame if they do mess it up tho as I've been very happy with it.

Re: DLM for all on its way

Might be a good time to take a late holiday for about 3-4 weeks and leave the router on
