According to the T & Cs, Sky already block known sites of this nature.

Operation ore is run out of Stevenage police station (cracking down on child porn), after they did some very high profile raids nationwaide it came to light that they were victims of their own success and they have evidence rooms full of hardware and they have a shortage of people who can do forensic computer work so they have months and months of backlog beofre they can start up again.

Back on topic the BPI is facing a losing battle with technology and all I can see is that VPN's will be the next way to distribute this stuff with the websites issuing log on details for them.
I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

Cool Re: Sky Sign Up With BPI To Help Stop Piracy

Be honest. If everyone who uploaded/downloaded MP3's/videos were facing a ban from ISP's, I don't think that would leave very many customers! The knockon effect for less of revenue would be massive

Re: Sky Sign Up With BPI To Help Stop Piracy

Why don't all the people who use P2P for illegal downloads move to a ISP that hasn't signed up for this?

Do people think this will put prospective Sky Customers off joining and force those in a contract to leave as soon as its up?

What do all the customers with a 16mb connection (who do not use P2P) need all that bandwidth for?
