Re: 1st July Sky HD will change to Sky + HD.
Just double checking really but at the moment i pay £53 a month thats for sports package and all the mixes, Max broadband and anytime telephone.
So by adding the HD package it will cost me £63 a month and then of course the price of the box and the install.
Do you have to have a install i mean isn't it a case of just unpluging the sky+ box and adding the new one? As at the moment i'm in the middle of ripping our lounge apart anyway so i need to re-wire sky up as i'm moving the plasma from where it is.
Thanks.

Unfortunately you will have to pay for the install, even thought the installer will just change the box over. But it's still a good price at the moment.So by adding the HD package it will cost me £63 a month and then of course the price of the box and the install.

Re: 1st July Sky HD will change to Sky + HD.
Finally.......I get the best out of my AV equipment & HD Tv

Full HDMI set up now & boy can you tell the difference, even with the quality of the SD picture.
For what it's worth, the engineer arrived at 12:10 & did the following:
Swapped out my Sky+ box for the HD box in the lounge & started the software download.
Ran a new dual co-ax from the dish to the opposite side of the house into the bedroom to replace the single one in there previously hooked up to the old Grundig Sky digi box. He then swapped out the Grundig for the Sky+, tested the box etc etc.
Then back to the lounge to pair the card from the old Grundig with the HD........He tried to do it with his new fangled all in one hand held phone, PC, bar code scanner.......That didn't work so he tries to get through on the phone, it took him 20 minutes to get through (I did offer him the 0800 number but he declined
)
He left at 13:50, so he spent 1hr 40mins on site, did a cracking job & for £60 I think I got value for money

Re: 1st July Sky HD will change to Sky + HD.
Welcome to the HD club Psycho. I had mine done last September. Granted not quite as spectacular as your setup, but picture quality wise, I am over the moon with it.
Still trying to get the other half to agree to my requests to change the garage into an AV room. More chance of winning the lottery though.
