Can report than uPnP *appears* to be working totally fine... (so far... touch wood)
Even my PS3 recognises that my router has a working uPnP which it never did before when I was testing uPnP on older router firmware...
So far so good anyway

did upgrade to new firmware in a few minutes

no change to speeds etc - was always rock solid and still appears to be solid
