Yes the changes are due to the new firmware.

The hidden LED used to come on when you were authenticated by the server (that is when you were given your I.P. address).

Now the "i" LED turns green at that time.

I assume this is how it was always supposed to work, or else there would have been no reason to hide that LED.

I also think the new behaviour is bringing the V1 routers into line with the V2's.
      Thanks for clearing that up.

I dl'ed the update 2 days ago and have noticed a huge increase in stability (fingers crossed). I was having to 'repair' my wireless connection frequently during sessions and had been blaming the adapter, but so far so good, this update seems to have sorted it. Still getting a crap speed varying between 800 - 2300, but I blame BT for that and my distance from the exchange.

Thumbs up Re: Sky Phase 1 Firmware upgrade confirmed!!!!

Well... I've left it 2 days before posting as I was one of the lucky ones with very few or no problems other than the ones I caused myself... bit-t swamping the connection
Since the (auto) upgrade at 4.08am tuesday just finished working on a live web sql project 10 mins prior, I have had better speeds but only after 2 reboots of the router 30 mins unplugged ones and now the speeds are more stable..

In the whole it seems ok... maybe though this could be the murray walker kiss of death to it and it all goes t*tsup...

(note torrents seem to run better now as well

The orange flashes when it looks for a connection, When its orange its waitng for the connection to come up, when its green its fully connected and ready.

Since the new firmware my connection hasn't dropped once, before it dropped at east once a day, I've asked sky to see if they can loosen my cap of 2048kbps to see if i can get a faster speed without dropping. Just waiting for an email back

Does anyone out there know if the Mossywell Bounce Sky Router still works with the new firmware. I've noticed recently that I can no longer get the stats and the admin functions (including re-boot) are now disabled. Has this anything to do with the new firmware - anybody noticed if their copy is not working as it used to.

Mossywell's bounce will not work with the new FW - hopefully you won't need it.

As NR said you shouldnt need to use it. The connection should be stable now.

      You can however use this..

Detailed stats can be got from the new V1 firmware (V1.03.87)

Re: Sky Phase 1 Firmware upgrade confirmed!!!!

Help Please. I have read about the new sky firmware upgrade. My current firmware is V1.02.04. The writeup mentions V1.02.28. Will the new version V1.03.87 overwrite my current version and work?

Excuse my ignorance, I am having difficulty in posting. Hope I got the right place this time.
