All old servers will be switched off by 8th February 2008. What works now may not work for much longer. When moving to the new servers it is very important to make sure you are settings SSL servers correctly, that you use the correct user name (including @sky.com) and that your version of office etc is fully patched as some unpatched versions of Outlook will not work with SSL correctly.

Thanks for the heads-up! Unfortunately I hadn't realised that this would also affect those of us on private domains!! I use a great e-mail/news prog called Turnpike, but I don't think it will do SSL - so this is today a big problem!

      No Cheers SKY!!

My email program does not support secure connections. Does this mean I can't connect?

      Re: Farewell smtp.sky.com

Forte Agent 2.0, which I also use for my old email addresses, along with hamster. Looking at some of the other threads I guess these changes will mean I won't be able to send emails with my old ukonline.co.uk addresses?
