      Hello

      Does anyone know why the

stmp.tools.sky.com keeps stopping from sending from windows mobile outlook.

seems to be Sky cos if I use the network providers smtp it works fine.

      Any ideas?

      Cheers

Are you getting any errors? Is windows mobile outlook capable of using SSL etc as I know Outlook requires service packs to get it to work properly with SSL.

      Re: Farewell smtp.sky.com

      Hi

      Yes I get

The message could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account details are correct.

I have sent from this account on my mobile device before, the network coverage is fine as my works email sends ok.

It supports SSL and the settings you can use are

Outgoing server requires authentication which is ticked

Use same user name and password for sending e-mail which is ticked

      ADVANCED SETTINGS

Require SSL for incoming is ticked

Require SSL for outgoing is ticked

Unable to set the port settings though which could be the issue?

      Cheers

      Re: Farewell smtp.sky.com

I have heard that if you

      smtp.tools.sky.com:465

it may work, I have tried and no joy

A registry setting may be the way to go?

Have a reg editor and can find the SSL details but no mention of port details

      Humm Stuck
