      Well I've really had enough with Sky where Outlook Express is concerned. I have tried EVERYTHING (enabling POP in Sky etc etc etc, going thro instructions again blah, blah). Four times I've phoned Sky and I agree with a previous comment - I think I know more than they do and I'm no technical genius, can't even get a straight yes or no answer to some questions that I just needed to be 100% about (not that I don't trust Sky call centre you understand...).
      Every time I go on to the PC I have to reset two issues in POP3 sections, one in 'Servers' and one in 'Advanced' under Accounts/Properties.
      It appears to be a password problem from what I can work out so is it just a case of waiting for authentication?

      A couple of people who are using McAfee have reported that if they disable it then outlook remembers it's settings. If you are running McAfee, give it a try.

      Thanks very much for that info. I have disabled McAfee and I did actually manage to get 6 emails through....until an error message came up about 'server/network problems' (Certainly not a problem with timing out). I think I'll just keep trying and maybe it will right itself. It's not a major problem, I can use another email account, just prefer to use OE. I'm off for a glass of wine. Thanks again.

      Not a major issue, but my keyboard is a Logitech G15. One of its features is to check for new emails. Because of the new requirements, it can no longer do this.

      I ask again, why have Sky done this?

      Why can't it check for new mails?

      You're not still logging on to the tools page and reactivating POP are you?
