The emails that aren't downloading from the sky portal wouldn't happen to be emails you've sent where you have cc 'd yourself a copy or test emails you've sent to yourself? If so it's the way google works - it won't let you send email to yourself!

OK, may I ask what type of mail it is? Is it messages from others or is it your own test messages that are not being delivered?

You cannot send test messages to yourself, they just sit in the webmail inbox.

Once you have set it once, leave it alone, if the STATUS is green and says enabled, then it is.

The reason you keep getting you own replies sent to you is because you keep re-enabling POP.

I'm interested to know more about these Undeliverable messages that you say you are getting - I don't suppose you could post the text of one up here?

They are test messages, but from one address to another on the same account. 2 work, 2 don't.

Are you attaching a zip file by any chance? The illegal attachment bit of the error message normally means that the email has an executable file attachment - so no .exe. or .zip (if the zip has an executable file in it)

Re: Problems With Sky and Email

It could well be an exe file. It was being sent TO me, yet I received the notification. Is this normal now, to advise the recipient in this way?

Sometimes yes, on some servers you get a notification that someone tried to send you an email but it was rejected. It looks like Sky is sending you a copy of the rejection message (although I can't be 100% certain without seeing all the email headers)

Re: Problems With Sky and Email

The web mail is fully functional for me and fairly quick. I have set my Outlook 2007 up and can receive the emails but I cannot send any as it 'times out' each time I try.
