it can make your line unstable and so a speed reduction can be applied to stabalise it.

Mine was a little unstable but it seems to have settled down although i have lost about 2meg to get things stable...

Question Re: Sky Have Listened To The Gamers

      Hi,

I play Battlefield: Bad Company online heavily, I would be on 24/7 If I could. now, I'm not a casual gamer, more hardcore if you like.

Now, all this is new to me, how do I go about getting my Max Delay down, I often E-Mail Sky Customer Support, who then in turn get back intouch with me via the phone. Would they be able to sort this out?

Another thing, I have just transferred from Sky Mid to Sky Max, and I'm only getting 12228+ out of a possible 16000 - 20000+ connection. Any ideas anyone?

I live approx. 750 - 800 mtrs from the exchange, also, I am currently in the process of switching to Sky Talk ATM, could this lower my speed while they transfer my line from BT. I am due to be switched on

I also have a ping speed of average 50ms too.

      Please, help me someone!

      TIA....

You need to post your router stats for people to advise.

Re: Sky Have Listened To The Gamers

If you have only just transfered to max it could be that your connection is undergoing dlm. If so then you need to leave your router on all the time as any reboots/ disconnections will be seen by the dlm process as a problem and it will reduce your sync speed accordingly.
Your attenuation should result in a sync speed close to the maximum ( mine's 22 and I sync at 18.5 meg )
To get your max delays reduced you need to get through to broadband CST who should be able to do it for you or alternatively use the kana form on your mysky account.
