      Probably because their network is setup for the average user.
      It can sometimes effect the stability of a connection, resulting in a reduced sync rate, so non gamers could end up with a slower connection for no advantage.

      @Chef118
      Although your profile says you are on Mid, the last stats you posted indicate you are on the Connect package - Line can now handle better speeds.. what do i do? Have you been moved recently?

      If you have not, you have to ask to be put on FastPath, which is the BT equivalent of having your delays reduced. BT will not put you on this unless you are syncing at near the maximum speed, about 8000kbps. If you are still on Connect you have probably been fobbed off as Sky can themselves do nothing about it.

      @Chef118
      Have you been moved to a Sky LLU connection? You appear to have edited out the post which seemed to confirm you had been.

      If you have not been moved, tell the Tier 1 agent that you are on Connect and want to be passed to CST to be put on Fast Path. They cannot do it, but can put a request through to BT to have it done. It is no use phoning BT, they will simply refer you back to Sky.

      I ping jolt occasionally and has pretty much been 37/38 ever since joining sky many moons ago so let's see what happens...

      Re: Sky Have Listened To The Gamers

      That's bad. Connect is no use for gaming, or much else in my opinion. Your best bet is to move to another ISP. Have a look at this thread which is just one of the many complaining about Connect.
