      Hello all,

      I tried asking the CST yesterday to lower my pings, and was informed that they are not allowed to do that. They did improve my download speed, but I was sure they could improve me pings (long time gamer).

      Any idea why they cant? are was I getting fobbed off ?

      have you tried filling in a karma form instead, thats what i done and it took 24 hours and it was done

      Hi,

      Had already looked at the form, but cant decide which option to fill in.

      Cant see anything which ties into ping issues, I dont have a slow connection, no real complaints ( although wireless is really naff, thats something im working on myself ) Any idea which options to fill in please?

      just something that relates to technical support...bare in mind, though, that you may end up being picked up for an auto regrade (which'll lower your speed) so calling is usually the best option...

      what's your stats at the mo?...

      Not sure which other infomation I can supply.

      Generaly in gaming I get 50-60ms Not bad I hear, but most are now getting 20ms or less. Downloads etc are fine, 3 PCs connected 2 wired, finding wireless poor range, but waiting for new antenna, before exploring that further.

      so long as you don't use wireless to game then you'll be ok...

      few see pings around 20ms - usually 25-30ms is seen on people on Max once delays are lowered...

      Thats what Im assuming, Its a small differnce, but 20ms, is much better than 50ms plus

      Will try again with CST, wondering why they wouldnt set it yesterday when I requested....

      Did you actually get through to CST(ex-Tier 3), or were you speaking to Tier 1? It is strange they refused you if you did, on the other hand Tier 1 are not nearly as well trained and you could have got an agent who just did not know the procedure. If they have stopped this, it is bad news for gamers and may herald an exodus from Sky broadband.

      Hi,

      Yeah, was certainly CST, I was transfered during a call with Tier 1 regarding a wireless issue. The guy said they are not alowed to make those changes.

      I will be calling today and will post back here with any results.
