Re: Sky Have Listened To The Gamers

could some explain to me what max delay 8 is or is it just capping the broadband speed from a 16mb connection to an 8mb connection.

I had no luck getting through to the tier 3 team, got an annoying rep, which kept on telling me that we dont support games.

so i would appreciate any information on how to contact the tier 3 team?

hi it does not [or shouldnt ]affect ur speeds as far as i know its the throughput ie how fast between exchange ,server etc has been reduced ie instead of 32ms the max delay will be 8 ms , i think this is how it works [although i have occasionally been wrong ,] but it should reduce ur pings overall and hopefully ur game play will improve [u can join us on gaming [TeamSkyUser

Anyone who plays online games, having this adjustment to your profile will reduce (or should do) your pings.

This only came out yesterday, and so will take time to filter through the staff. You are just going to have to ring and explain that you would like to be put through to T3.

The max delay lowering will lower your ping, unless you play online games it would probably make little or no difference. It should not reduce your line speed drastically and definitely is not a cap.

      Hi Dazz

You have to do it via T3, either email them using the contact form or take your chance at ringing them.
