Re: Sky Have Listened To The Gamers

      Hi.

i've rang up tier 1 and you know what its like trying to explain about max delays and trieing to get to tier 3.

After a 30 minute battle with the customer support guy on the phone he gave me an opened ticket Thank GOD for that.

But he said it probably will reduce my ping but make it an unstable connection

      and

i use the wireless side of sky and not the main one with the router connected to it, will it effect my ping if the max delays get changed?

And any of you who have got it done is your connection unstable?

      Help!!!

      hawkkk.

      Hello peeps

      1. Phoned the 08705515515 number and spoke to nice lady (Laura I think) 'bout lowering pings.

      2. Lady went thru troubleshootin, ie m/filters, test socket etc...

      3. I asked for ticket number, got it.

      4. She then put me thru to Tier 3.

      5. On hold for 45 mins.

      6. Chappie answers "wot u want", "I wants to lower me ping", "ok 'ang on"

      7. Chappie then increases my upload to 894, ta, and lowers my ping from 37 ish to 28.!!! MArvellous

I am now happy, thanks go to SkyUser.co.uk without these no of this would be possible....

I've brought this up with Sky an numerous occasions and they've always said that 768 is the max upload... Are you sure they upped your upload?

Re: Sky Have Listened To The Gamers

Hi ps forgive noob Qs but whats the best way to find my ping ps? I have cod4 on my PS3 and its becoming so frustrating with the time outs and connection interuptions! It takes so many bullets to kill (even using lite machine gun)
Ive been getting really low DL noise margins of late when ps3 is connected which flutuates from max 7 down to as low as 2! I am in the process of sorting this out via a diff thread, when its sorted will it improve my overally Ping score or is that down to Sky changing settings etc? Thanks

Re: Sky Have Listened To The Gamers

      Dear Mr Wagsie lol ,
Thank you for contacting Sky Broadband Technical Support.
I am sorry to learn your ping rate is slowing your online gaming down.
I have sent a enquiry to our Customer Solutions Team for the ping and max delays to be adjusted.
The reference number for this is ******, the speed adjustment should take around 4-5days.

Cool , just have to wait now , but hell I can do that
