no its not another 12 month contract, you can upgrade/downgrade your package whenever you like ............ im still better off with 2 mix and Sky Sports 1 with SS3 free, will be upgrading to 4 mix and SS1 with SS3 free for the extra quid though

To be honest I don't think Sky's TV service is value for money these days.

Apparently Sky do a one mix now:

      Sky.com - Sky Products>Sky TV>Prices and Packages

But if you try to build your package online it gives you a warning if you only have the one package.

If someone actually said to me, "Pay me 21.00 per month and we will shove 3 minutes of advertising down your throat in every 15, oh and while you are sitting comfortably and eating your dinner we will shove pathetic crying beggars in your face and make you feel guilty about what you have and your life style, then when we actually get round to showing you some programs, we will repeat them over and over again so that in any one month there is only actually a few new things to watch, but by the end of the month you will have to get a dvd or go to the cinema because you will have seen everything." I would say You are having a laugh we are intelligent human beings, we wouldn't pay for that, why would we pay to watch adverts and beggars? and everything we have seen before?

I also notice that the period of the 30 one-off payment has been extended from September 14th to Sept 30th. Which is good news for me as I am in the process of getting a 'cease' on the line to sign up for the SKy package!

      Cheers

These prices look *very* similar to a survey that I did about 6-7 months for some company who were asking about how Sky should change their pricing.

I had to choose between oodles of options - with a fundamental shift to being to have between 1-6 mixes and easy to understand (and consistent) pricing.

Looks like some of those survey results came to fruition!

Re: Sky TV Price Changes 1st September 2007

After 18 years...I have decided to drop from the Top tier, down to Just 2 Mix,
My Broadband contract is up on the 18th of this month, so will stay on two Mixes, until I find another good ISP,

Never had a problem with Sky Broadband..good value & Speed, But to keep subscribing to Sky TV, just so I can get a 12 meg download broadband, is just plain silly,

It would be cheaper to go to BE, and take out their unlimited package....Or shall I hang out for the weather to clear up and the Sun to shine, Then go for a PICNIC
