hi lawman,
2 mix (£17) plus £10 max for £27 total aint bad, not sure you'll get 12 meg much cheaper on its own, as for picnic i would expect it to be more expensive for broadband (base/mid/max being partly subsidised by the sky TV package)
but only time will tell

Re: Sky TV Price Changes 1st September 2007
It is if you do not watch them anymore...
As for broadband "be there" is quoting 24meg unlimited for £24.99..if I can get between 12/13 meg with sky, then in theory should get the same from "be there"..
Stands to reason that Picnic is not going to be as cheap as Sky BB..but your not tied into a TV package, that has lost it's, must have feel..
Strip sky of all the shopping channels, repeats, freeview channels, what you left with....
Sky 1 (never watched it) and football...the only reason I ever stayed with sky for so long...

Re: Sky TV Price Changes 1st September 2007
i see where you coming from, if you aint watching sky why pay, but for £2pound less and no garuntee of faster speed you would only have one sevice and not 2 as with sky (would also lose sky plus which is fantastic)
but then i suppose there must be lower speed (around 16meg for cheaper than £25) which may make it more cost effective
hope all goes well if/when you change overLinks

Do not have sky+...no need, have a Philip's DVD Recorder with 160 gig hard drive...which can also pause live TV (but for 3 hours) and its not tied into a sky subscription

Why not wait until Sky's new Picnic broadband launches as see what prices they come up with the broadband services, as you will not need to be a tv subscriber then.

Re: Sky TV Price Changes 1st September 2007
Hi, first time posting..
Can I just clarify here, I signed up for sky 2 mix £15 + max bb £10 = £25pm at the beginning of July07.
As an existing customer and one that is bound by a further 10 months of contract, am I subject to these price increases?
It seems at the moment that I am and that I can agree a 12 month contract with sky at an agreed price and 2 months later they can say "Actually, sorry about the fuss, but we're going to be charging you a higher price to the one we agreed.."
I know it's only £2pm difference, but for someone who got the sky package just for the internet, it's wound me up..
Cheers.

Re: Sky TV Price Changes 1st September 2007
Have you had a couple of letters sent to you about these increases, if not then they might not apply to you. I guess checking the small print on your contract might give you the answer.

Re: Sky TV Price Changes 1st September 2007
I have nothing in the post as of yet. I did get a very ambiguous letter last week regarding changes to terms of conditions. I think that was about internet fair usages policies and changes to Sky email however.
Then again, I didnt get anything telling me of the free 9 day trial of sports n movies that finishes today (9thsept), which I only found by accident this morning.
