    Picnic Broadband?

This is a discussion on Picnic Broadband? within the Sky news and announcements forums, part of the SkyUser Announcements category; I'm with VM and was on their 20mb package but only ever got 14mb (still ok I guess) - but ...

      Re: Picnic Broadband?

I'm with VM and was on their 20mb package but only ever got 14mb (still ok I guess) - but not 20mb as stated, which is pants given their "almost guaranteed speeds" advertising. Shame they don't admit that it all goes to pot with network contention.

Any more news on Sky's Family Picnic today?

      Re: Picnic Broadband?

Only that Sky must be pretty mad that this has been made public so early,
But in this day and age these things are expected or are Sky that naive that they think all there staff are robots and follow strict programing to follow rules?

Anyway controlled press releases from Sky would have stopped all this I'm sure.

50Mbps? What would they use? ADSL2+ has a limit of 24Mbps... is there any other system they could realistically implement for 50Mbps?

it probably is appropriate in that you can only use it when the weather is good... much like their tv service

Any chance this could be a wireless network system? Like BT Openzone?

      Re: Picnic Broadband?

All of the details apart from what I would class as commercially sensitive have already been published on here, by us.

As for wireless network system like BT, we have not heard anything like that all.

      Re: Picnic Broadband?

Well according to Google Analytics, Mark Monitor seem to be visiting Picnic Broadband User so something is in the offing. Or are they likely to try and make us take the domain down?

Considering, Picnic Broadband does not exit and is unconfirmed, why would they visit?

I bet you can't guess who the second best visitor to that site is
