well picnic means family get together or socialising together, you could also add that picnics aren't meant to be for long so you could think a monthly contract perhaps? and as with picnics there may be quite a selection of things to choose from, we can all speculate but we just don't know yet but as always time will tell

Re: Picnic Broadband?

Can't get my head around this at all. What they calling it that for??

I'm assuming Sky are going to run this through the Easynet network the way we get our broadband just now? If so how will this affect our speeds, will they decrease as more people take up the offer and congestion becomes a problem?

Re: Picnic Broadband?

dont think it'll affect your exchange mikey as the llu for sky on wshal is full already [mate can only get connect as all the spaces for max were full [2 weeks ago] so ur speeds will be the same as now

Re: Picnic Broadband?

Might it also have something to do with this? A well known name is on that site

Interesting! What package was he looking for because I have an auntie who lives down the street (same exchange as us) who was told a similar story when ordering back in January, no Base available and she could only have Connect! However I noticed my neighbour through the wall has got Sky Broadband (same ssid format SKYXXXX) and there dish was only put up at the start of the summer. So it would be interesting to know what package your mate was looking for because my suspicions are perhaps that Sky don't want to give out base and only want to give to those who are going to pay. Maybe I'm just assuming the worst, perhaps more space was added and then was used up again.
