Router Port - Sky HD/BB Router

Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but regarding the colour coding, I have suspicions that the green port will be used with the matching green Ethernet Port on the Thomson Sky HD boxes - otherwise, why would they colour code just one port on the router and (possibly) on the HD box green?

      Just a thought.

Does look like the Sagem 2400/2404.
Sagem makes the Orange Livebox too, and you should recognize the matching icons if you have a Livebox.

These matching icons are far more clear on the upcoming Orange Livebox 1.2 (see attached).

not sure why you've resurrected a thread that was last active in march????. YOu should have started a brand new topic to ask this question.

Anyhow, there are 3 routers (1 Sagem and 2 Netgear). So if you have a sagem and they save they will send you the same one, but different model then I assume you will get a V2 netgear.

Re: Exclusive Pictures of the New Sky Router

thought sky had nothing to do with this site where did u get the prototypes from?
black netgear has a serious flaw were if you turn it off it can set ur d/s speed to 256Kbps when u turn it back on and this will set ur noise margins to -1 causing errors and crcs on the d/s and u/s the only thing u can do to fix this is to remove the dsl cable and plug it back in leaving the router turned on whilst doing this.
sagem router has a flaw were any website you go to it will ask you for a user name and password, looks to be like a firmware upgrade tht seems to be doing this, so factory reset, but doesnt always work tho.
netgear and sagem are ****e already, 2 wrongs dont make a right.........
i dont see y sky dont just use dlink. do sky know u have these protypes and publishing them?
if its not broke dont fix it there was nothing wrong with the white netgear.

these prototypes are now being used by customers. Perhaps you should read the whole thread which stared over a year ago.

No.. Sky don't know that we have the Black V2 routers, please don't tell them. Also I would appreciate it if you didn't tell Sky, that they have been sending the Black V2 routers out to their customers for nearly a year or so now. Sky may get a little upset about it, once they realise.

Reminds me of an old TV program, Some Mothers.... I think it was called.
