I would say it is not imminent and so waiting for it to come out, before changing to Sky is just wasting your money.

i think sky should replace all these router`s, after all everyones paying them every month to use it, i also thought it is against the law ( trading standards) to sell or rent faulty goods to people, you certainly wouldnt pay for your gas or electric if you only got half of what your supposed to get, sky might lose alot of internet users if this becomes an issue.

I think this is the reason why sky wont admit there is a problem with the router. If they did they would need to replace everyone's router. I have phoned sky cs 3 times not once has the Upnp issue been mentioned by them so all those with connection issues that don't know about this site are passed from pillar to post when in reality its probably a simple fix that users can do them selfs.

Those into conspiracy theory's will say sky have done it to generate extra revenue from their support calls!!!

I think they should just hold their hands up and theres a issue with the router and supply a working firmware / router.

I know this will have been asked before but why do Sky insist you only use their router?

Re: The new Sky Router is on its way

Apparently, the new router has now been shelved, and there are NO plans for a replacement router.

This news has been given to us by several sources and is 100% unofficial.
