Can anyone tell me the following.

If I fit my own Sky + box after 1st June and then call up Sky will they update my subscription from normal to plus with no fuss?

Will I still be able to transfer the card from a Sky+ box to a normal Sky box?

the card is married to the box, so if you put the card in a different box, you have to ring sky to get them to marry it up (for premium channels only).

Sky+ used to be £10/month for everybody.

Sky then dropped the £10/month Sky+ sub for people with two or more Premium channels.

And now, at long last, *the rest of us* will be able to benefit from Sky+ without an extra £10/month sub - just like the Premium subscribers have had for ages.

I don't have any premium channels, so will I still be able to swap card from sky+ to normal sky?

I'm pretty certain, 'yes' (not totally 100% as it's been a while since I last did that and they may have changed it since then).

You could buy her a new kitchen, but then any money you save from Sky has just gone out of the window

      from my earlier post

sky+ should be £10 so for an extra £7 you could have a premium package and if the subscriber wanted the functionality of sky+ before anything else then that £7 represented good value for a premium package.

now that sky+ is free then does £17 represent good value for that premium package

it is about value for money

the evidence is speaking for itself as some people are dropping the premium stuff

      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

*But* you also had to pay for the box @ £99.00 plus installation, which for me did not justify spending an extra £17.00

Even if Sky Sports was £7.00 I would not pay for it, I just have no interest in it. In fact the only thing I did pay extra for was the F1 when they did that.
