All that has happened is that Sky Sports is still the same price as it was before.

I had no Sky Sports and was not prepared to pay the extra £10.00, just for Sky+, however now I could be persuaded.
i know your points are valid, but for my £17 i used to get two products now i just get one. i wonder how many people subscribed to a premium channel as it only cost them £7 as they wanted the functionality of sky+ lets say they needed it for kids or working hours, will they drop a premium package now that package is £17 and not £7.

it will take one new subscriber to make up that deficit and they will need to supply that new subscriber with free internet as well

i just feel they needed to do somthing across the scale not just at one end.

But..... If Sky Sports had been £17.00 and Sky+ was an extra £10.00 would you have had both? Or just the Sky Sports?

We both have valid points but both differing views or perceptions of what we actually get for £17.00.

      lol - that's a politicians answer

Would you have still ordered Sky Sports at £17.00 if it did not include the Sky+?

      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

the sky+ functionality is why i paid more to have it installed rather than the cheaper option.

and the extra £7 for sports was good value

      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

The thing is though, Sky Sports was not £7.00, it was £17.00 so the added function of Sky + was a brucie bonus. So for £17.00 for the sports, the Sky+ free was good value.

      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

yes sky+ free with sports otherwise £10 used to be good value.

but some people are now saving £10 or getting something for free that used to be £10

if a small jar of coffee was the same price per gram as a big jar, then the way you look at it would be correct.

i would love it that way really, but its always been the more you buy the cheaper it becomes.

again i just feel they needed to do somthing across the scale not just at one end.

      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

i love the scapping of the sky plus charge

it means i can remove my movies package for a while till some new movies come out

i only had movies to save paying the charge
