      You already have it.

Standard Mix subscribers are getting the same saving that Premium subscribers have had for ages...it's not like they're getting something extra which Premium subscribers don't have.

      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

it never was free as a premium subscriber it was an incentive ???
all none premium subscribers will now see a benefit either £10 reduction if they used sky+ or use of the sky+ feature for free.

      premium subscribers see no benefit

i used to get sky+ and sports for an extra £17 now i get just sports for £17

that almost feels like a price rise

      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

But surely, if you paid £17.00 for Sky+ and Sports, did you not get the Sky+ free? So in reality you paid £17.00 for Sports. And had the benefit of free Sky+?

I could argue that that was unfair, as you had something I didn't, however you paid a premium to receive Sky Sports, something which does not interest me, or make me want to part with an extra £17.00 per month.

For me Sky+ has just been made more attractive, instead of paying £99.00 plus £60.00 Install and £120.00 a year = £279.00 a year, now in July it will be £99.00 plus £30.00 Install and no subs = £129.00 in reality a £150.00 a year saving.

It does not cost Sky anything to give you the Sky+ function, and if they raise an extra £129.00 per year off say just half their subscribers, that's some cashflow they will have to use on development of future services.

I had the choice to pay like you have, and you chose to pay as you wanted the Sports. I just chose not to do so. Unfortunately that's life, you will always get deals and in your eyes unfairness. That's just the way things are.

      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

i suppose it depends on where you stand and look at this

but sky sports just went up by £10 in my eyes

or i can dump it and still have sky+ i just wonder how many people might do this with premium packages.
stating the obvious but then sky would be receiving less money from current users, but would this be offset enough by new subscribers.

i think we talked about a restructure of pricing last time to balance this out for all subscribers. free multi room with premium packages would be nice.

So if Sky Sports had of been £7.00 would you have paid the extra £10.00 for Sky+? Or would you have done without the Sky+?

All that has happened is that Sky Sports is still the same price as it was before.

I had no Sky Sports and was not prepared to pay the extra £10.00, just for Sky+, however now I could be persuaded.
