      Excellent news

I see the same thing has appeared on digital spy as an "Exclusive", yet their news story was posted around 4pm on Friday & the post at DS by the "Sky+ Team" was made shortly *after* the post here.

So, I think that means that SkyUser broke the story first!

Hey? You say that DS broke the story at the forum shorty before the post here, how can that mean SU broke the story first?

Anyhow, DS post by the SKY+ team is linked here: Sky+ Subscription - Digital Spy Forums

NR posted the info from the sky+ team shortly before the SKY+ team posted on DS.

Shame that the SKY+ team couldn't have officially posted here too thou.

Because both the post on their forums and their frontpage story came after NR post on the Sky User site, just check the times out. NR posted on here at 14.11, at 14.22 a post appeared on their forums and at 16.02 the story appeared on their front page. So Sky User was first with the news.

he used the word before instead of after which meant their post didn't make sense.

I selectively quoted you are your post didn't make much sense either as you are contradicting yourself, perhaps you should have removed the first bit for it to make more sense. Anyway does it really matter as Sky User were first anyway.

The Sky+ Team did post it on here first. They rang me in the morning and then posted it in our Sky Communication forum. (Users cannot see this) We then copied the post into the News Manager, which then posts the story on the home page and creates the relevant thread.

The Sky+ Team post was timed at 18-05-07, 02:08 PM. Its not about who posts it first, its about that everyone gets the information.

I am so glad that "Rumour Control" has been proved right....

I just hope that they look at the Multi Room subscription and drop that too....

edit-i have just been on the sky.com site and no trace of this drop of £10. The sky+ side is still saying £10 subscription...has anyone got the link to the news on the sky site re this drop??

      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

Any news on the 'Installation Charge'?. I see they are still charging £99 for the Sky + box, I suppose that is fair does, adn I would guess that the installation charge will be the same.

Does make me wonder if I should go for it now, as I could get a friend to recomend me and get £30 M&S and Quidco, never quite know when Quidco will change the ammount you get back.

Or wait until July the 1st, that way I cab be assured that there won't be a subsrciption charge. You never know they might even throw in 3 months half price- but I guess that would be asking for too much.

Isn't the answer in post #1?
If I am a Sky customer but don’t have Sky+, how can I take advantage of this?
From 1st of July if you want Sky+, you can buy a Sky+ box for a one off charge of £99 with a 12 month Sky+ subscription, and an installation charge of £30.
