      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

I have just had a card from Sky offering Sky+ box free, with only £30 for installation, as I am a valued customer subscribing to premium channels. Did I accept, of course I did. Now I can record 3 programs and watch another at the same time I have a PVR and free view as well. All I have to do now is find the time to watch what I record, I already have about 100 hours to watch

      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

There was an offer that ended 17th June.
Wouldn't be surprised if its Free from 1st July (that is just my thought), so if nothing comes up, wait until 1st July.

      Re: Sky+ Subscriptions

the sky + box sucks - this record 2 watch a thinrd is crap, they dont mention the third one has to be off the HD and not live TV

the amount of programs i am missing because i already taping 2 and i have to cancel one to watch the other is getting silly now

WHY give people a 4 input LNB if they can only use 2!

I think it's fantastic, I remember a time when if you wanted to record something off the TV onto VHS you had to actually watch it. You can always record two things on Sky+, then via terrestrial digital or analogue record a third thing to VHS and watch a fourth! How much TV do you actually watch anyway? Perhaps you should spend less time sat on the sofa and more time outside enjoying life.

The extra LNBs are for when you have more than one Sky box, so a dish can support two Sky+ boxes.

      Gotta agree with Luffer!
I dont have sky+ (yet!) but i think its great!
Much better than any PVR, any VCR, and DVD recorder, its ace!
And yes, the extra LNB outputs are for multiroom etc!

i spend msot of my days outside enjoying life - there was no need to be offensive fella.

we don't have a terresterial ariel, no point in my view, so i can't watch anything else apart from HD content

Yes we have multiroom so that's why we have a quad LNB

It wasn't meant in an offensive manner, but I admit it does read that way, perhaps I should have added a smilie at the end, sorry.

However, there clearly is a point in having a terrestrial aerial because you can use it to watch a different channel when you a recording two programs on Sky+.

Why the criticism about the 4 LNBs if you already have Multi-room? Why can't you just watch the the other programmes on the other Sky box!

Your complaint is totally unfair on Sky, the Sky+ system is by far the most flexible, intuitive system available.
