      UK Online now provides business broadband products

      A few months ago, we mentioned the possibility of Sky supplying Business Broadband.

      Although not directly Sky, UK Online are part of Easynet, which are owned by Sky.

      UK Online today unveils a new focus for its award winning broadband service with the launch of a new broadband service that will give the four million businesses between one and ten employees a business strength option at a competitive monthly charge. UK Online Business Broadband is available from 19.99 (excluding VAT) per month.*

      The unlimited service with UK based, 24/7 Freephone support, comes with download speeds of up to 8Mb and 768k upload speeds**, free McAfee security worth 49.99, and free domain with 20 email addresses and webmail. ***

      Chris Stening, Managing Director, UK Online explained: "Small businesses are currently choosing from either low priced consumer services or high priced business packages designed for the larger SME. They are desperate for a well supported but reasonably priced professional broadband service from someone that understands their unique needs."

      UK Online appreciates that small businesses need to be online 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which is why it is including 24/7 freephone technical support and free McAfee Internet Security. With a reputation for customer service, all UK Online support is provided in the UK. With extended weekday and weekend hours of operation for customer service, it is providing customers with quick access to knowledgeable and experienced professionals.

      There are an established 4.1m small businesses in the UK, one million of which are companies with less than ten employees, while the remaining three million are sole traders and home based businesses.

      Existing UK Online consumer customers will continue to benefit from the same range of consumer products and services as before.

      * Businesses that are not covered by the UK Online LLU footprint, will be able to purchase the service for 29.99. As part of the BSkyB group, the LLU network covers more than 61% of the UK's homes and small businesses.

      Well they say i can have 8MB - and i can with BD too it just seems to be easynet who are behind with my exchange - which is really weird as a mate of a BT engineer says my exchange does actually have kit in it.

      so what gives
