Re: Dear Sky Broadband

Well, Sad to say. But the is the exact reason I have left Sky Broadband.

I am now with BeThere.co.uk and their service is excellent, including their customer service (Sky's CS is non existant).

Be are more than happy to switch users between interleaving and fastpath. All you have to do is give them a call and it is done within the hour. They also have different profiles you can try on each mode to tweak you ATTN and SNR for better speeds and reliability.

OK, So it is £14 per month more for the full package but it is a hell of a lot better. Well worth it.

I suggest you all leave and switch to BeThere.

If Sky will not cancel your contract (which they should do because their service is sub-standard) I would seek legal advice.

OH, And BTW. My pings are excellent. (Counter Strike Source = Sub 20 on good UK servers).

Re: Dear Sky Broadband

i'm on fastpath as well , pings are 40-55 ms depending on which server i'm on so i dont think switching from interleave to fast will make much diffrence for most people as sky seems to run slightly higher pings [maybe the way they route it through their llu/exchange ]is anyone on connect and fastpath and what are your pings if you are?if people on connect get good pings [as opposed to sky llu then the obvious prob is with sky ]

Re: Dear Sky Broadband

IS there something we should be saying when siging up about this?
I.E> should we be asking for a specific interleaving setting etc?

Re: Dear Sky Broadband

This thread is about pings, and the request for Sky to consider the choice of INTERLEAVED or FASTPATH, not for about talking legalities etc.

Constantly going OT is not going to make much of a case to present. Any more like this in this thread will be deleted.

We might as well just lock the thread, if this continues as it is absolutely pointless.

Re: Dear Sky Broadband

Yo, NewsreadeR. You are correct with regards to the topic of this thread.

But, Did you delete some posts??? If so, Is there any way to get them back as they are still valid to the Sky User forum as a whole. And some people here may still find them usefull.

Anyway, Back to the topic in hand.

Do Sky have an official policy on this? Should people be on interleaved or fastpath? Do they allow users to change? (I know some have). Should we have a poll to see who is on what? (Has this already been done???)
