      Exclamation Further 51 Exchanges Unbundled!

There have been a further 51 exchanges that have been unbundled, bringing the figure to 905!

To view the list go to this link:

Most of the exchanges have been added with their Enable date as 'Unknown', so I would try searching by Exchange Name.

My Exchange is marked as enabled yesterday!!!!

I do not think they have moved my line over from the CONNECT to the LLU equipment yet as the router has not lost sync recently.

Is there any definitive way to know when the line is connected to the Easynet LLU equipment?

Re: Sky Unbundles another 51 Exchanges

I see my exchange is one of the 51. How will I be able to see if I have been transferred? Should I expect to see any difference between Connect and Mid?

Re: Sky Unbundles another 51 Exchanges

Once an exchange is unbundled, it has to go through QC and other checks etc, so it can take up to a month after to become available for people to be provisioned.

      Re: Further 51 Exchnges Unbundled!

      hi
I am also on connect, and have been told by sky that the lytham exchange will be unbundled in April 07 but there is no mention of it on the broadband resource site.
Have I just been conned into signing up, I pay 5/month for connect for 6 months then it goes up to 17.99.

Is there another way to find out if my exchange is being unbundled?

      Re: Further 51 Exchnges Unbundled!

We recently signed up to the Connect package at 5 per month on the expectation of being transferred over to a brand new exchange in the near future. The new exchange is being built due to the vast number of new houses and distance from the current exchange.
I have been told by Sky that even though the phone number check shows we should be 16Mb capable, we can still only get 512Mb and they will send us a letter wen the new exchange comes on line to invite us to swap over. I don't think it will be automatic - or indeed pain free!!

No - Sky will be more likely to be correct!!! They do NOT publish LLU dates in advance and the Broadband Resource Site only finds out AFTERWARDS

In any event the special offer is not just for 6 months! It is for a long as it takes.....Sky themselves don't make the 5/month offer unless they are totally confident that the exchange will be done within 6 months.

      Re: Further 51 Exchnges Unbundled!

I signed up on Monday after enquiring 2 weeks ago - when there was no sign of my exchange being LLU'd - I was well pleased when I checked the Sky website at the weekend to find that I could now have any of the packages! Was a little concerned that Samknows didn't have my exchange listed as being LLU'd, but my mind is at rest now as it states it was unbundled TODAY!! haha roll on April 4th - target migration day!!!
