surround sound system

surround sound system

just bought a 5.1 surround sound system it has optical connection and free cable, once set up do i just plug the optical cable into my optical tv connection or sky connection whichever i choose or do i need to connect anything else? and do i need to change any sky settings if i connect to my sky hd box? or my lg lcd tv.

just to add its all set up ready to go i just need to know do i just plug the optical cable into the system and then into the tv/hd box whichever one and it works???

Sky+HD box connected to your TV via HDMI and the "Optical" cable to your surround system, to get DD from the Sky box make sure to sound setting is Dolby.
